01 / HOLD

Payment held until confirmation

Buyer payment is captured at checkout and held by PluginXchange. It is released to the seller only after the buyer confirms the license was received, or after the dispute process is resolved.

PluginXchange is not a regulated escrow service. Funds are held on the platform during the transfer window. PayPal handles payment transport and seller payout only.

Transparent transfer

Each method (iLok, manufacturer account, serial) shows its expected fees and timing before the buyer commits.

03 / DISPUTE

Admin-reviewed disputes

If a transfer is contested, payout is paused and the order is reviewed before any funds move. Outcomes depend on the evidence in the audit log.

Payout after confirmation

Sellers are responsible for confirming the license is transferable under the manufacturer's current terms. Listings that fail any of the points below may be rejected or removed.

    The manufacturer's current policy permits owner-to-owner transfer of this specific product.

    Seller account name matches proof

    The account holding the license matches the seller identity on PluginXchange.

    Transfer fee is known

    Any manufacturer or iLok/PACE transfer fee is disclosed before the buyer commits.

    Version and formats are clear

    Listing states the product version and which formats (VST, VST3, AU, AAX, CLAP) are included.

    No NFR, EDU, rent-to-own or subscription licenses

    Unless the manufacturer explicitly allows transfer of that license type.

    No cracked, shared, bundled or account-only licenses

    Unless the manufacturer's terms allow that bundle or account to be transferred.
